The RISC-V Week

The RISC-V Week brings together two events from October 1st to 3rd, 2019, in Paris:

Deuxièmes Rencontres RISC-V – 2nd RISC-V Meetings

The RISC-V architecture, which comes from academia, is challenging several communities. In particular:

After the first « Rencontres RISC-V » on « Les opportunités académiques » (academic opportunities) held in Grenoble in October 2018, the second edition will take place in Paris on 1st and 2nd October 2019. Open to the academic and industrial worlds, they will address several important topics:

  1. The impacts of the arrival of open-source in the design of systems on a chip (SoC), embedded systems or cyber-physics (CPS).
  2. Legal and strategic intellectual property (IP) issues, that ranges from public management of hardware open source code, down to sovereignty issues.
  3. The identification of points of collaboration between the hardware, software, and systems communities.
  4. Facilitating collaboration between academic research and industry.

In order to allow as much time as possible for exchanges the core of the program is made of multiple sessions where a small number of short contributions is followed by a time for collective discussion. The program also includes a number of tutorials on key RISC-V issues and solutions, and high-level keynotes.

Theses « 2è Rencontres RISC-V » are associated the « Journée RISC-V » organised by the GdR SOC2, or Groupement de recherche SOC2 (System On Chip, Systèmes embarqués et Objets Connectés), from the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique).

Journée scientifique IRT St-Exupéry & GDR SOC2: « RISC-V for critical embedded systems »

IRT Saint-Exupéry & GDR SOC2 pursue their cooperation with the organization of their 3rd sicentific day gathering industry and academia on critical embedded systems.

This year, the scientific day is organized in Paris, in partnership with the “Deuxièmes Rencontres RISC-V” and as part of the “Semaine RISC-V”. It will focus on the opportunities offered by RISC-V and open hardware solutions for the field of critical embedded systems.

The day will include extensive presentations by guest speakers from academia and industry on the following topics:
